The Odyssey Under Counter Water Ionizer filter unit and ionizer unit are installed below the countertop, under the sink, freeing valuable counter space. Alkaline and acidic ionized water are produced simultaneously and flow from two separate outlets on the above counter faucet stem. There is NO unsightly tubing that countertop water ionizers must have. There is NO need to replace existing faucet. The filters are easy to change because you do not have to remove the ionizer unit - just unscrew the old filters and screw in the new ones! This under sink ionizer offers a triple filtration system for the best tasting and cleanest water. One filter is for particulate filtration (5 micron). The second filter is for Sulfur & Chlorine removal, and the third is a 1 micron Carbon filter which removes many contaminants, like lead, and especially the worst: Chlorine & Chloramines. Drink Ionized Water All Day, Every Day! These water ionizer filters are high quality filters, much higher quality than the common Brita or Pur filters and the common granulated charcoal pre-filters.

Silver is impregnated into the carbon fiber to insure that bacteria does not grow on the carbon. Since it is imbedded, or impregnated, into the carbon there is no chance of the silver leaching into the water and being consumed. Even if it was consumed, silver is NOT toxic to the body.
These filters should be replaced every 9-12 months, depending on water quality and usage, whether or not the ionizer indicates the filter life of 10,000 liters has been reached. This is to ensure optimal ionization and filtration.

All water ionizers remove approximately 50% of the fluoride through the ionization process. Since fluoride is an acidic mineral carrying a positive charge, about half of it is removed from the alkaline side to the acidic side of the ionized water. This reduces the amount of fluoride found in the alkaline water, which is the water we drink. Minerals are not removed from water through normal filtration. A very specific filter is needed to remove all the fluoride. Please call or email for information on purchasing a fluoride filter. BUT WAIT - before you do, realize that water actually has some naturaly occuring fluoride and the 50% that is left may be acceptable. Check with your municipal water company. We can help with this, so call or email if you have questions.
Additionally, pH and ORP results vary based on incoming source water and results are not guaranteed for this reason. Source water variables include pH, ORP, TDS, mineral content and temperature. These variables are applicable both to well water and municipal water sources.
