The ashitaba (Angelica Keiskei Koidzmi) seeds are imported from Japan but the plants are grown and harvested in California.
In order to maintain the plant's energy and maximize its unique qualities as an antioxidant, extraction methods are not used in the processing of Ashitaba Green. The Hayano's farming/processing technique (Koidzumi-Hayano) has developed a pathogen-free (low bacterial count) processing plant.
