CBD-Rich Hemp Oil:Cannabis Medicine is Back clears up much confusion about CBD and medical marijuana - similarities and differences - along with the science behind the endo-cannabinoid system and what symptoms may indicate a cannabinoid deficiency. The short story:
|
Tina's Tidbit:
We saw a need for a simple, but scientific explanation about CBD (cannabidiol) and the body's Endo-Cannabinoid System. We wrote this book with YOU in mind - to be simple enough for us lay-people to understand, and technical enough for healthcare workers. We hope this answers questions you may have! Written in 2014, this book was the #1 selling CBD book on Amazon in 12 countries! I helped educate the world on the benefits of CBD! |
1) CBD has ability as an anti-epileptic / anti-seizure.
2) CBD has powerful antioxidant activity for prevention and treatment of oxidative associated diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinsons's, cancer, autism, heart disease, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
3) CBD has ability to lower intraocular pressure in the treatment of glaucoma.
4) CBD is protective to the brain from ischemic damage (helping blood and oxygen flow).
5) CBD supports the nutritional health of aging bodies.
6) CBD protects against cellular damage.
7) CBD has an anti-anxiety effect.
8) CBD protects the cells of the nervous system., nerves and the brain.
9) Cannabinoids act as free radical scavengers when exposed to chemo therapy, toxins or radiation.
Government studies have proven CBD to be a very safe product:
"No signs of toxicity or serious side effects have been observed
following chronic administration of cannabidiol to healthy volunteers,
even in large acute doses of 700 mb/day."
- First cannabinoid discovered in 1964 by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, PhD, Hebrew Univ., Jerusalem, Israel.
- 1992 Dr. Mechoulam discovered the body's endo-cannabinoid system.
- The endo-cannabinoid system helps regulate every physiological system (digestive, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, muscular, etc).
- Cannabinoid receptor sites are found throughout the entire body including the brain, organs, glands, connective tissue, immune cells and more.
- Plant cannabinoids (from Hemp) help stimulate your endo-cannabinoid system.
- Clinical Endo-Cannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome may be involved in (from Chapter 2):
Cancer | Neuropathic Pain |
Glaucoma | Huntington's Disease |
Stroke | Myocardial Infarction |
Obesity | Movement Disorders |
Metabolic Syndrome | Hypertension |
Anxiety Disorders | Seizure Disorders |
Digestive Issues | Osteoporosis |
Parkinson's | Multiple Sclerosis |
- Is Hemp marijuana? Is Marijuana hemp?
- What do Omega 3 fats have to do with the endo-cannabinoid system?
- What other conditions does research say CBD may alleviate?
- Read the research for yourself - many citations in the book.
I just spent several days online researching medicinal uses of CBD/hemp oil. I read articles, explored websites, perused product information from various hemp oil producers and queried folks on Facebook. But the more I read, the more confused I became. I knew that I wanted to try hemp oil. I had heard about the many health benefits of CBD and was hopeful that it might provide some relief for my chronic Fibromyalgia and Arthritis pain. But I couldn't find information on dosage or explanations of the uses of the various forms (drops, capsules, creams, etc.). But, thankfully, while reading conflicting reviews of different CBD products on Amazon, I came across this book. Hooray! I immediately downloaded it and was able to read it in a little over an hour. The book has just enough scientific and medical info to explain how and why CBD works as medicine; this gave me confidence that hemp oil is not just a fad, placebo or snake oil. Much of the research cited is from US government studies as well as universities (and there are plenty of citations and footnotes for those who want to go to the source). The authors are clearly very well educated on the subject and Dr. Leonard-Johnson's experience in nursing and drug counseling are a real plus, adding to my confidence. It is less of a "how-to" and more of a "why not?", if that makes sense. The authors were careful not to prescribe; they didn't tell me how much CBD I should take. But they did give examples of the range of dosages used by people and suggest that it's a good idea to go "low and slow"; start at a low dose and increase slowly, preferable under a doctor's supervision. I now feel informed and confident enough to go forward and try this new/ancient medicine! To the authors: Bravo! You have shed light and reason on an important subject and provided a valuable service to a suffering public. You have my gratitude. Thank you again for your fine work. Good luck to you! (from the authors) Thank you for such a glowing review! That's exactly why we wrote the book - for clarity, brevity and substance to educate both lay people and nurses. You really got it! Good luck on your health journey and please feel free to reach out to us! |
Great book about CBD, wish there was a print version (there is now)! it's a great simple introduction for people who don't know much about CBD.
I've been waiting for a book like this. It's very well written, and referenced. A must for anybody interested in the topic of the endocannabinoid system, and CBD, a key cannabinoid to treat health conditions. We are in exciting times and this book clearly mentions the issues and info you need to know. This is first and foremost about hemp CBD rich oil, which seems to be currently gaining a lot of popularity. Medical cannabis is controversial and depending on where you live in the world, you may not be able to get it, but until it's widely legalized, there is apparently CBD hemp oil with a wealth of medicinal properties. This plant cannabinoid may be able to treat an endocannabinoid deficiency. A deficiency like any other failing or disease of a body system, which requires treatment to feel better. It is food for thought that an endocannabinoid deficiency may be the cause of many chronic disabling condition, and perhaps some of us need the cannabinoid in order to function and live well. A fantastic book about hemp CBD. Short and easy to read about the topic.
Fiona shared from CBD-Rich Hemp Oil: Cannabis Medicine is Back
"Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome as first suggested by Dr. Ethan Russo in 2004. Dr. Russo concludes, "migraine, fibromyalgia, IBS and related conditions display common clinical, biochemical and pathophysiological patterns that suggest an underlying clinical endocannabinoid deficiency that may be suitably treated with cannabinoid"
Fiona's Note: All part of the crucial theory which began ten years ago.Fiona shared from CBD-Rich Hemp Oil: Cannabis Medicine is Back
Omega-3 fatty acids are the precursor for the body to produce its own endocannabinoids.
Fiona's Note: So you need a decent omega 3 supplement as well.
