The Alka Viva .01 Micron Well Water Filter provides extra fine filtration of .01 micron, specifically for well water and is installed in the LEFT side of your H2 series ionizer instead of the ULTRA filter, which is meant for municipal water. The eight stages of protection are highlighted in our water filter products by CaSO3 to reduce heavy metals and different forms of chlorine. This .01 micron hollow fiber technology also has two stages of the highest quality carbon. It gets installed on the LEFT side of your H2 Series ionizer. This filter traps a wide variety of contaminants, including bacteria, virus' and other micro-organisms while allowing beneficial minerals to pass through. It is rated for 500 gallons or 6 months, whichever comes first. |

This .01 micron Well Water Filter for the newer AlkaViva H2 water ionizers filter is used in place of the Alka Viva ULTRA Water Filter - when your incoming water is well water. Of course your well water should be tested for bacteria, pH level and various contaminants so you know what you are starting with. I have well water in my home and it tested to be free of contaminants, however the pH level was a bit low at 6.5 pH. You want at least 7 pH - the "water industry" is aware of this, as acidic water will decay your pipes - never mind you!!! To fix the issue of low pH, we installed an "acid neutralizer" filter - it works like a charm to bring the pH to just above 7 pH...and it gets refilled about every other year at a cost of $150. If you have slightly acidic well water, I would encourage you to seek a water filtration company in your area to install the acid neutralizer filter - it's really more of a tank - about 5 feet tall. PLUS, don't forget, with the Alka Viva0.01 micron filtration - the finer the filtration, the shorter the lifespan of the filter (500 gallons, not 1000), the higher your maintenance costs are...but, you are worth it, as YOU ARE paramount! |
