The AlkaViva Citric Acid Cleaning Filter is actually TWO filters - one for each side of your VestaH2, AthenaH2 or MelodyII water ionizer. One filter is blank and the cleaning filter uses SAFE citric acid to clean mineral residue from your water ionizer electrodes.

The AlkaViva H2 series of water ionizers have very efficient daily cleaning systems, so you can use this cleaning filter every other time you change your filters. Of course you'll do no harm by deep cleaning more often!
